Hello, my name is Howard S. Dinet. Welcome to my Website! I will be sharing my forty-year journey as a visual artist. Thank you for spending more time to understand my work!
I am inspired by a few things, I love Frank Lloyd Wright and his huge volume of work, he is a creative and engineering genius! Jackson Pollock and his unconventional painting methods and art, Wassily Kandinsky and his early adoption of abstract painting. Finally, I will continue to learn and be inspired by nature, movement, texture and color.
I started my journey in Architecture school which set the foundation for my career as an artist and designer. At the youthful age of twenty-one, I started an Architectural Illustration firm providing sketches, drawings, and renderings of buildings. During this time, I was an Adjunct Professor at Syracuse University teaching graphic design and illustration. I eventually left architecture because of economic conditions. When I left architecture, I needed to be creative, so I started painting abstractly. Being an artist photography became another skill and artistic outlet. Also, three years ago a friend challenged me to paint wildlife realistically. This website represents my collective experiences over time. I have sold, donated and gifted many pieces of art.
I love to explore and experiment with new ways to create. My artwork creation process is drawn from all my life experiences and what I find interesting. I am always trying to learn more and push my artistic boundaries. Please join me on my new journey focusing most of my time with art. Please Let me know what you think. I think being an artist is the ultimate freedom.
